This project focused on creating a website for a bakery that centralizes product information, menu access, and customer engagement features in one place. It addresses the need for a cohesive online presence that supports marketing efforts and prepares for future e-commerce functionality.
I designed and developed this project from scratch using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with my decisions rooted in how to make the bakery feel both inviting and memorable. The “Sweet Dreams” concept came from the idea that the desserts are so good they feel dreamlike, which led me to play with a day and night theme—using light mode to reflect a bright daytime sky and dark mode to create a more nighttime, dreamy feel. As I planned the layout, I focused on making the menu stand out so customers could quickly find what they wanted, while also making space for an About section and contact page to build connection and accessibility. I added a small contest element as a way to encourage engagement and help spread awareness. Throughout the process, the design and code worked together, with me refining both to keep the experience cohesive, easy to navigate, and aligned with the overall concept.
The project was completed on time and met all outlined objectives. The final website includes the bakery’s menu, featured desserts, brand information, contact functionality, and promotional elements within a multi-page structure.
